• Why Wyoming? Can't I just form in my home state?
  Wyoming has the best LLC laws for solo operators: $0 state income tax, $60/yr annual report fee (vs. $800/yr in California), strong asset protection, and no public member disclosure. If you're a remote freelancer or online business, Wyoming almost always wins.

• Do I still pay state income tax if I live in California but form in Wyoming?
  Yes — you pay income tax where you live, not where your LLC is formed. Wyoming doesn't exempt you from California income tax. The advantage is avoiding Wyoming state income tax and paying just $60/yr. Consult a CPA for your specific situation.

• What's the difference between an LLC and a sole proprietorship?
